Side Tracked…….. ?

I took off [kinda] early for a ‘job’ yesterday morning. A local woman who saw my handiwork on Gecko’s office implored me to come look at work she needed done. The first job I looked at was just out of my scope of ability…. tools, manpower and strength. It broke her heart but I had told her right up front I might not be able to do it. She pinged me the following day and said she had a couple of light bulbs that needed changed she had forgot to ask me about them while I was there. Being the nice guy I am [?] – I told her I’d be happy to come out and swap them out for her. Then she started ‘adding’ things and it soon turned into a job. She was still good with it and a day or so later I made my way out there. For the next couple of hours, I changed light bulbs (after running out to Home Depot to get what I needed), put together [ceiling] fans that came apart… which led to an outside light that was dangling by one wire and filled with bird ‘stuff’. I took it apart and gave it to her for cleaning, while I improvised a fix for what I had in front of me. Not pretty, not to code, but it works, is safe and looked a dang site better than what she had. I finally loaded my truck and was gone and she was happy as a lark. Another satisfied customer. She has already asked me to come back out for more ‘things to do’. I told her I would get back with her after the first of the year – as I intend to try and dive my brains out – right up until we fly back to the states. She was good with that.

I lit out early again this morning – but this time it was to go diving~! Like going fishing….. I don’t mind getting up and rolling out early for that~! My kind of boat this morning. Boat is designed to comfortably hold 18 divers….. and this morning – there was 3 divers and me……  🙂   My kinda boat —- LOTS of room to ‘spread out’~! We wound up diving 2 [mostly] new to me sites.  Visibility left a bit to be desired…. but still awesome dives. A couple of sharks – but really uncooperative as far as getting their picture taken….. Dammit Emmit~! Still – I wound up with some fun pictures for you so you can enjoy the dives long with me. I thoroughly enjoy knowing most of you are looking at my pictures and [apparently] enjoy them. Please feel free to ask questions about them if you’d like. Most of the time, I won’t know the answer – but will find out for you~!

Island kids are supposed to come in for breakfast in the morning – and we’re looking forward to that….. should be a nice start to what is supposed to be an on and off again rainy day…… Oh yeah…. we went to Blues last night and wound up shutting them down…… and I was a smidge too tired, to do much of anything when we finally got back to the house last night~~ 😉

Good Night Ya’ll : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
