Good thing I didn’t hold my breath……

Up after a reasonable nights slumber….. had to reset my modem [again] and managed just enough band width to get on line and check mail and a little bit of FB before the internet took another dump. No worries….. Viya dude was supposed to be out to day to get us going.  I held off on my walk in anticipation of him showing up and wanting to be here when he got here. My bride made us pancakes for breakfast and while she did that I got our hotspot working enough that we could get back on line {s.l.o.w.l.y} Still no repairman. Dammit. I had a couple of errands to run – so I took off for down town to finish said errands. Back in about 40 minutes….. still no repair dude. Dammit Emmit. It was close to noon by then, so I called Viya to check on the repair dude. Guess it’s a good thing I did, because while she could see my work order….. some how or another it got lost transitioning to the repair dudes in the field……. So, so, sorry….. would it be okay if I reschedule him for in the morning ? (Like I had a friggin’ choice) Trying to remain calm and polite I said sure – but we have been without internet or cable since Friday afternoon and it is getting really old~! So, so sorry….. I’m going to give you a $20 credit toward you next bill. Well that don’t do us any good as far as no TV or internet – but thank you. While we were eating dinner, I noticed 4…. count ’em… 4 Viya trucks pull into our lane. Yay~!!! Alas, they only slowed down by our house and went on down the path. For the course of the next hour or so, they came and went without ever stopping here. I guess our whole little compound here is having the same basic problem we are. They must have done some good because [[knocking on wood]] – we have cable and internet, for at least the time being…..! Yay~!

Our neighbor stopped by last night with a big bag of fresh caught Wahoo and asked if I was interested in some of it. I checked it out and it looked and smelled good, so I said sure and relieved him of about 5 pounds of it. Tonight for dinner — I pulled out the deep fryer and the grill and made us Grilled Wahoo. I also tried deep frying some of it. Since the oil was fresh and hot – I also made us some damn fine French fries (they are hard to get on the island that are worth a crap). We both agree we liked the Wahoo much better grilled than fried – which is good I guess, cause it’s healthier for us. I learned a lot about Wahoo preparation this round – and am looking forward to more of it, now that I have a smidge of an idea what I’m doing. It’s nothing like Bass…… but it’s not bad~! At my limit…

Good Night Ya’ll – – – – – – – – – – – – – Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
