Wine and Diving…….

Hello MyChalice Fans….. well I made me a couple of dives yesterday morning and kinda forgot about the Wine Pairing tour I was supposed to shoot later that afternoon. I came back – cleaned up and got all my pictures done, just in time to grab my [freshly charged] camera and head back out the door. I’m not a huge fan of shooting these things – but the boss wanted me there – so there I be……. A little more of a fun crowd than the last couple I have done – so it wasn’t what I was dreading…….. They have a chef prepare 4-5 different samplers and they have the wine that goes “best” with each sampling. It’s a nice evening, all folks who enjoy wine, cruising around inside a small harbor so it is a calm smooth ride and you get to watch a nice sunset. I took pictures, help unload the boat and then headed back to my end of the island. It was 9:00 before I got here and it was a long enough day, I was not in any condition or mood to sit at the computer. I did not partake of the wine (working and all) but did tap into an icy cold Budweiser about 3/4’s the way through the evening. ( A feller works up a sweat crawling all over the boat getting that perfect shot)  So that is why I did not get anything put up last night….. sorry I forgot to mention it previously…..

Up again waaaaay before I wanted to this morning to head back out on the boat. Pretty much the same group from yesterday morning….. and they were a handful. It took a lot of tending to. As the set of eyes in the back of the group — I had my work cut out for me. One couple, just got their certification and it was really obvious. My picture taking went way down as I spent most of the time helping them out and making sure they were safe. Nothing changed on this morning dives either – they required just as much if not a little more guidance on both dives. The Divemaster on this mornings boat asked if I got any pictures [jokingly]….. I normally take about 300 pictures between two dives…… this morning I had a total of 72 pictures……. and most of them were with my phone for the exits off of the boat. Oh well….. safety of our guests is paramount – and nobody is going to get hurt on ‘my watch’ if I have anything to do with it……. I mean – I won’t make Mother of the Year……… but I’ll do my best~~~  😉

Back at the house – a delicious meal of Meatloaf and corn on the cob….. belly is full and I’m ready for a shower and hopefully an early good nights sleep. Diving again tomorrow morning, but the people on the boat are all supposed to be good qualified divers – so hopefully, some fun diving for me….. and who knows…. maybe even some pictures……

Good Night Ya’ll ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
