Well Dammit COVID-19

Same-O, Same-O start to the day….. and not much going on as we are settling [mostly] into not going anywhere during the day, although I did leave once to run a flash drive up to the dive shop (10 minutes) and then once again to run out to our new ‘local’ pharmacy (45 minutes) I was out of one of my BP meds and my bride spent the time yesterday to get us established in the new place.  They have the place set up where 98% of the business is handled with the drive-thru, so I never had to leave the truck. I might could get used to that, but if you think the locals are hard to understand face to face – you need to try it through a speaker….. fun~! But I got what I needed and back here now. Sitting down at the laptop with a fan blowing on me…… this end of the island apparently does not get near the wind we had at the last place and it gets hot and down right stuffy without that nice trade wind blowing through. I guess we were a little more accustomed to the A/C  than I thought too. I’ve already decided to get some kind of A/C at least in our bedroom – as this heat and stuffiness is really hard on my Queen and her breathing. I have already reached out to my A/C dude for a quote…… weirdly, he is out sick with the flu, (no – not the virus according to him) but as soon as he heals up (and I will make damn sure he is healed up first) I’m gonna get him out here. Anyhow, sitting down at my laptop – I pulled my email up and there is a letter from Expedia……… our flight back to the states in June has been cancelled. 🙁  Dammit Emmit~!! Quite the shock as I figured [or hoped] life would be semi back to normal by then. Apparently not. My Queen did  not take it well and I’m not real shot in the a$$ about it either. We were both excited to get back and see our kids and Grand babies.

We made a drink and talked about it….. I’m not gonna give up on it yet…. I figure I’ll let April slide on by and then take another look to see what my options are…… And to add a little salt to the wound – the ba$tards aren’t refunding my money for the flights…. they just issued vouchers~!!  Well, let’s put it this way….. they just think they aren’t refunding my money….. I have a little something to say abut that~! So kind of an ugly end to the day. We warmed up the Lasagna the kids brought by last night and had an early [delicious] dinner and settled in for some more Outlander. We’re on Episode 10 now and it’s getting a lot more interesting…. so guess we’ll be finishing it. Still no new pictures……

Good Night Ya’ll – – – – – — – – – – – – – – – – – Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
