A nice distraction…….

Today started out like the last couple, except this morning, we had brilliant sunshine and a very calm ocean front for a welcome change, with small gentle waves lapping upon our beach. Something I’m sure both of us are going to miss once we settle in at our next place of residence. A battle that we will each have to deal with in out own way….. but that is another post. After a reasonable night’s slumber, morning stuff and multiple episodes of Dexter, I finally coaxed my big ole tired a$$ off of the couch to head up to the Post office to get ‘prizes’ headed back to the land of plenty….. After a busy hectic start to the new month of the new year, I am running a lot farther behind getting out end of year prizes for my FB Music Trivia winner (Carijuan) and my number # 1 fan award (Vera) into the mail. I corrected that this morning. My Queen opted to ride along with me for this little jaunt uptown….. surprising, but glad to have her company. 20 minutes in the local Post Office and my work there was done….. although I did forget the slip of paper for the personal note I had intended to put in each package…… DAMMIT EMMIT~!  I opted to send the prizes anyway, as it could have easily turned into another week or so if I waited to add the personal note….. I hope you understand if you’re reading this……… Post office stuff [mostly] done….. the PLAN, was to stop by the store for a couple of basic’s….. eggs, milk, OJ and a couple of other things IF the store had them.  We figured since it was early….1:30 ish…. we could stop by Blues for a drink ‘or two’ before the store visit. Silly, silly person…… you don’t stop by Blues for a drink or two….. it’s one or a LOT.  We should know that, but some how managed to forget it….. In all honesty…. I did try to leave somewhere around 4:00 or so…… but great conversation about diving with friends negated that option……… About 30 minutes before closing….. we finally managed to wander out the gate to the truck……… 0’boy-0’boy-0’boy….. ain’t gonna be able to do that living out West…… that will be a mighty long drive in the condition I was in when we left – versus the 4 minute drive we have now….. another challenge to deal with.

Back safely in the condo – I have made up a batch of greasy cheeseburgers and done scarfed down a couple, trying to straighten up a bit to write to you all ( How’m I doin’??)  😉  We are slated to work up at Blues for another big event coming up on Friday…… good times – good stuff~! For now….. couch time and some Dexter until I crawl into bed……..

Good Night Ya’ll + + + + + + + + + ++ + + Thankx for stopping in~!

I was hoping this would turn into a water spout~~

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
