The drunker I sit here —- the longer I get.

Woooowee……. not sure where this one’s going tonight~~~ Up a little bit early after a better night’s sleep, but still not that “damn I slept good” sleep. Headed out West to check out a potential place to live. We made the 30 minute trek and wound up at Adventures in Diving STX to meet up with Mitch.  A friend and dive shop owner who was to show us the new place. A quick 5 minute drive from their shop and we pulled up to what turned out to be a duplex, with Mitch living in one half and the other the place we were to look at. It took a little back and forth, but we finally got to scope the whole place out. A little bit smaller than where we are now, no where near the view, but about 60% cheaper which equates to a minimum of about $15000 savings a year — so I don’t think we’ll have a lot of trouble adapting. We are about a 5 minute drive from the beach, which hosts some fabulous sunsets and almost always calm waters for swimming and snorkeling. There will definitely be some adapting to be made on our part….. but I think we’re gonna be good with that. The extra money will let us pay off some bills and get to travel (back to the US and abroad) a lot more…. so a little change will be good – albeit a little uncomfortable. We have handled that before though. Moving around to strange environments and adapting….. and in a weird little meatball kind of way – I like it. It’s good to get out of your comfort zone once in a while. Helps keep you young[er] and fresh. Visiting family and friends may ‘suffer’ a skosh – but we’ll figure it out.

When we finally left the west end, we stopped at our favorite haunt (Blues Backyard BBQ) for a drink or two [LOL] to discuss options……….. is there really a need for me to say wat happened ??  Yes – okay – we sat there and got hammered, but holy moly what a good time. We even took time out to go look at a couple of other places to live (that didn’t pan out) but Good Golly Miss Molly what a good time, sitting there with dear friends and enjoying each others company. Thoroughly pickled….. we opted to finally warp it up and head back here. I am doing everything in my power to keep my “act” together long enough to finish this and get it posted. I see tomorrow as a down day…… recouping from tonight and relishing in the fact our future [unknown as it may be] is now laid out for us again for the next year……. mostly~~

More dive pictures for you from me and Stephie’s dives. I plan on getting in a couple of dives Thursday, so I can add to my collection….. until then… I hope this mostly makes sense…… if not, check in tomorrow when it will probably be better….

Good Night Ya’ll * * * * * * * *  * * * * * * * * Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
