Good Grief…………….

Up this morning for another day of work after a wonderful and much needed day off…….. Some clouds looming in the distance but mostly sunshine to greet the day……. that was until we headed to the West end of the island….. we arrived to find our gate blocked off by some inconsiderate a$$ hat partying from the night before. We managed around it until the inconsiderate old sot finally came and moved her car. Not even to the trails on the first tour and we started getting rained on….. which happened on and off for the next 3 tours…….. Geeeesh I’m getting really tired of  being water logged……. our tours loved it though – and we made the best of it. Second tour of the day had a couple of young ladies driving – that just could not quite handle the machines as well as they needed to and I made a half a dozen sprints into the bushes, to climb on their machines and back them out of the weeds and get them back on the path —- to me it was funny as hell and they seemed to enjoy it……. ‘Dad’ appreciated the fact that I was ‘being cool’ about it and I think the group had a really good time. We actually cut out the ‘tough’ part of the tour [for their safety] – but they enjoyed themselves none-the-less. I love groups like that — it breaks up the monotony of doing the same thing over and over, the riders didn’t get hurt (and thought it was hilarious) and none of the machines got hurt….. so it makes for a nice deviation in the day.

Stopped by the store on the way home to pick up a couple of needed items before we make a ‘real’ store visit again (booze and toilet paper). We have been invited out to a friends house tomorrow to welcome in the new year….. we’re all too old to be up that late tonight  😉   Really looking forward to that, as well as being off of work for the next couple of days.

Gonna leave it here……. tired, full belly compliments of a fabulous meal by my Queen and a LOT of alcohol…….. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you (and your families) that drop in here and keep tabs on us – A very Happy, Safe and prosperous New Year. I hope work is minimal and time with your family is optimal. Wishing you all a happy New Year….. and God Bless the USA~!

Good Night Ya’ll _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Thankx for stopping in~!  (I’ll see ya next year… sorry – I couldn’t help myself~!)  😉

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
