Sharks, Eels and Rays…….Oh my~~

Getting this up a tad earlier than usual as my Queen and I are going out for a nice dinner tonight and I probably ain’t gonna be in the mood and/or condition to write when we get back  😉

Up bright and early to get ready for a couple of dives this morning and had the morning to myself as my Bride slept in right up until the point where I was about to head out the door. I smoked one cigarette with her before grabbing my gear and heading out. Big clouds looming over the dock and one nasty grumble of thunder made us all wonder [briefly] whether we were going to get to dive….. but they lightened up and moved on and we finally took off after waiting an extra half hour for a guy who never showed up…. I have a sincere dislike of folks like that, that think their time is more important than every body else’s……. Finally out to the first dive site with seriously heavy cloud cover, which means my little camera probably wasn’t going to get much use. Happily, I was really wrong~! Even though light was scarce…. I managed some pictures – which is good, because sea life was plentiful~! I have been to both sites we dove today – but J.T. (Dive Master) did a great job putting us on fun creatures….. about the only thing I didn’t see was turtles – but I did get to see one of my big Green Moray Eels, a nice big spotted Eel, Sharks….. lots of shark action~! Sea Cucumbers, Sting Rays….. just 2 very wonderful dives…..

I’m cutting this a little short as I need to get ready to head out for dinner. A new place that we’re both anxious to try. I’ll try and get a couple of pictures and will tell you about it later~~

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
