New week – new turtles~!

After I had logged out last night – we went out for a smoke only to spot new activity on our beach…. another [smaller] Green Sea turtle, down in the current hole digging away. We didn’t bother her and left her to do her thing. After a sleeping in a skosh this morning (my bride was actually up before me!) I walked out to multiple trails all over our beach, with the tell-tale signs of another turtle. Some of the tracks were FUBAR’d by the waves and many more by people that [apparently] do not know better than to walk on the tracks……. but spending some time ‘reading’ the tracks, I finally figured out what when on while we slumbered. We had 2 new turtles…. I suspect only one of them actually dug a nest and laid eggs…… but sure nice to see~!

I took off a little before 09:00 to up to Blues to knock out the painting I have been trying to get done for the past week or so. Everything went right this morning and after about an hour and a half, I was finished. Sat and had a couple of beers and chatted with Jim before lighting out to pick up smokes for me Queen and me. Also managed to pick up some burgers, hotdogs and some sausage while I was at it. Dammit Emmit – don’t go to the store when you’re hungry~!! Finally got back to the condo where my Queen had breakfast mostly ready….. we ate and then spent the rest of the day watching our newest series…. The Dead Zone.  We had watched some of this while it was on regular TV and thought we’d give it a try. I’m still on the fence about it……. We had [actually] a couple of calls from our Damn Neighbors while watching TV – listening to them rattle on about plans for February (wanting us to join them out in Vegas) and maybe coming to see us around Christmas.  WOOOOOOO – us and the damn neighbors in Vegas ??? Together ?? I don’t think any of our kids or family would have that kind of bail money~~~  LOL and yes…… they were drinking… ((drunk Monday))~~

Got a call from the clinic saying my script had been called in (Cholesterol) – I headed out to pick it up and my Bride decided she needed to go with me (and we could stop by Blues on the way home)  😉   So we picked up my meds then stopped by our favorite place on the island…….. we drank and chatted and chatted and drank…… just a great place to hang out. I finally wound up ordering a shrimp Po’ Boy sammich even though I was not even kinda hungry…… WOW – now I wish I would have ordered two of them… MmMmMmMmmm  good~! We closed Blues down then headed back here – so I could ramble on about my day….. tomorrow is my Brides birthday…….. Can’t wait to see what that brings…. I have a [hopefully] nice dinner planned for her…… but the rest is up for grabs….. we’ll see what it brings.

Good Night Ya’ll – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
