Waiting for a wedding~

Well we made it to the states with a moderate degree of aggravation and headaches – but we are now here in the frozen North. Well – not actually frozen but it sure feels like it to us. We landed at our destination in shorts and tank tops to be greeted by not only my little sister [Nelia] but my big sister [Ela] and their husbands AND temperatures in the 40°’s~!!!  OMG~!! We got our luggage and car and away we went. We stayed up way to late drinking and laughing before finally crashing.

The next couple of days have been setting up for the wedding in a gorgeous big ole barn fixed up to accommodate such events. Today is the big day and there is a lot of activity going on as everybody is prepping for the wedding. Since I am just an innocent bystander at this point – I am left with a little bit of free time and I thought I better get a line or two up here before the day gets any busier. A couple of my girls have made it up here with their families, so free time for me is almost non-existent. Not sure if I’ll get anything else up before we get back down to Indiana and settled in our hotel….. I have managed to snap a couple of pictures and will try to put them up. I’m working off the hotspot on my phone and not sure if pictures will load or not.

Have a great day…….. Thankx for stopping in~~

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
