Getting closer~~

Pitiful nights sleep last night….. I thinks it’s from sitting on that beat up a$$ couch all day. A bite to eat then headed up to Blues for my meeting with the organization President. She showed up shortly after us and we spent close to an hour going over paperwork. She had a fist full of money for me (from raffle prizes collected after the tournament) and another sponsor check for us~! Yay~! Look at us grow~!! Finally wrapped it up and went and sat at the bar talking with Jim, Deb and some of the regulars. We sat there for about probably 30 minutes longer than we should have, before loading back into the car.

I wanted to go get an idea what new furniture was going to cost us. We went to the place where we have bought all of our other stuff. Found a love seat we really liked the color and fabric of but not the way it sat. We found several others we liked the way they sat but not the color or fabric of. Finally found one we could settle on and then started dickering about price. Got them to lower it some if we took the matching couch. Delivered and old stuff hauled off for $ 1160.00  Not bad but wanted better….. dickering about price…. down to $ 1100.00  Better – told him we wanted to go smoke and discuss our options…… he came out mid smoke and offered $1000.00 for everything…… sold~! It will be delivered tomorrow. Yay us~!

Had to stop at the pharmacy for my bride to pick up some stuff – then headed back to the condo — air was a bit stagnant today and it was toasty out there and I was looking forward to some A/C~! So – managed to get out today and get a little bit accomplished……. besides getting half smashed….. maybe that’ll help sleep tonight  😉

Good Night Ya’ll * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
