Getting through the day~

Got up way too early this morning after going to bed way too late. Angie was struggling to lay down without coughing entirely too much and she finally decided to go out onto the couch. (easier to sit up there and try to sleep) I understood why but that made it even harder for me to try and sleep as I was listening for the ‘bad’ coughing spells that would set her to gagging. I don’t think either of us got a heckva lot sleep and were both up and about by 06:30. Sitting up and moving about, she does much better. She said she would like to eat and I was tickled to death to make her an egg, a couple of pieces of bacon, a slice of toast and a glass of milk – which I’m tickled she ate every bit of. I had a meeting with the Fish With A Vet organization I am part of. I really wasn’t up to going, but an obligation is an obligation. I sat through that meeting, finally got to gather up my stuff and head back to the condo.

I walked into a storm of information from my bride about our ‘personal’ nurse I mentioned the other day….. Angie had been talking with her while I was out and it apparently seems because we physically live in the Virgin Islands – she can no longer help like she promised. I was supposed to call her to discuss, but I was just too emotionally drained to do it. I guess I have not completely recovered from the past 5 days and need more time than I expected to “heal” up from that night mare. I only have 1 appointment tomorrow and that is with the ‘Doc’ to discuss what I have been through and follow up. I’m kinda looking forward to that conversation – but more so – the following day – will be a day with nothing scheduled~! I am really looking forward to Saturday~! Turns out I have a dive club meeting Sunday. I will not be able to join them on the pre-meeting dive as I need to make sure the incision where they did the Heart Cath is completely healed up before subjecting it to saltwater. I will be able to attend the meeting though – so a 1 day weekend for me……. a much needed day.

A little bit short, but gonna stop here…a couple of pictures from today……

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
