Naturally – NOW it rains~~

I rolled out at the beckoning of my alarm clock this morning after a fitful nights sleep. Not sure what brought it on, but had some of the most bizarre dreams I’ve had since I was on Chantix, plus I just could not get comfortable. Hopefully better tonight. Made me a breakfast to keep me going for a long day of painting. I got up to Blues right at 07:30 and set in immediately to work. A small change of plans on the walls I was painting – painting a small wall first – but it was just so the small wall had a little extra drying time before Blues opened for business (people sit on it in the smoking area). I knocked it out quickly and then moved back to the big wall in the back of the yard. Just as I finished the first coat – it started to sprinkle (never good when you’re painting). I waited about 10 minutes and it quit. I had to wait for the first coat to dry enough to get another coat on it which took another 30 minutes. I started in on the second coat and got about half way down the wall when it started to sprinkle again. I tried to get the wall finished but it didn’t take long before we had a pouring rain in progress. I finally had to call it quits and clean up my roller, brush and pan. I was about out of paint anyway, but still aggravating not to get that section finished. By the time I was finished cleaning everything, there was not a dry spot on me. I figured I better ‘drip dry’ a little bit before getting in the truck, so I had a seat at the bar and had an ice cold Budweiser….. and another, then – one more. The bar opened up just as I sat down and had a small crowd ducking in out of the much needed still pouring rain, so I switched to Vodka (with Cranberry) and hung out and chatted with folks for a while.

Tired of being soggy – I finally headed back to the condo for a shower and some dry clothes. I spent the next several hours working on a small database and some thank you mails for the Fish With A Vet organization. Finally caught up, I settled in for a COPS marathon on TV. I quickly realized how much I dislike commercials – so I may see if COPS is available on Amazon Prime. First – I think I’m gonna fry me up some Spam for a quick bite. I also like it with my eggs in the morning~! A couple of new pictures from today and some more dive pictures.

Good Night Ya’ll > > > > > > > > > > > > Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
