Painting at Blues~

I had mentioned a little while back we were trying to get the fence up at Blues painted. We had got started on it, but then a very busy week kicked in and we had to leave it set. Finally got back to it today. Rolled out of the sack extra early in order to get our morning stuff done so we could be up there by 07:00. By the way – for us that requires us being up by 05:30 or earlier. We got up there shortly after 07:00 and set in immediately to work. I’m happy to say I finally finished the outside of the big fence. I still have the inside to do, but it shouldn’t be near as hard or take as long, because I have already sealed it and painted the sides of all the slats. The rest of the fence is going to be time consuming. Not real hard, just tedious because the slats are much narrower and a lot more of them. Barring rain in the morning – we will be back up there bright and early.

I mentioned a couple of posts ago, that I signed up for my Social Security and that now they feel the need for me to prove I’m me and that I ‘deserve’ my money. I had my youngest Daughter send me my birth certificate, my certified Report of Birth Abroad (with fancy embossed ribbon and signed by Secretary of State [then] Mr. Edmund Muskie… actually it looks like it was signed by the Authentication Officer because their signatures look a lot a like~! ) and several other pieces of paperwork requested. It got here just as I sat down to write this. As about par for the course – I received a reminder email from Social Security this morning saying if I did not have those documents, a pass port would suffice. I guess it’s a good thing you cannot reach through an email~~ but I have all I need now [I hope] to satisfy the Social Security folks and they approve my application………. it just ain’t right~! That’s really about it for today…. kind of a slow news day, so I’ll sign off with a couple of pictures from today and some more of my dive pictures.

Good Night Ya’ll > > > > > > > Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)

  1. Fence is looking good! I remember painting our picket fence around the house in Mt.V… took us all summer… yes you can roll it but then you have to do all the “tedious” stuff. Missing you “F#$%#$s” but we’re enjoying exploring Palm Coast and the walking trails they have available. Hoping to snorkel with Manatees once it warms up a bit, apparently you can see them on the Inter-coastal Waterway where we are staying but I’ve yet to see any. Love you guys!

  2. Hey Damn Neighbor~! Thankx – been a lot more manual labor than either of are used to – but it’s probably good for us and Blues is loving it. We talked about rolling it – but it has been so long since that fence had seen any paint – I figured brushing was best – coating some places 3 or 4 times. You can almost hear the wood sucking in the paint.
Glad to see you’re re-situated – I hope the ‘neighborhood’ is more to your liking there 😉
Snorkeling with Manatees would be awesome~! Buy a little disposable underwater camera and see if you can get a pic or two~!
Miss you F**kers something awful…. broke my heart when Angie said you had to cancel, I’m sure we’ll figure out a way to get together again. Please email or text me your physical address in case we happen to wind up in your part of the state 😉
    Love you F**kers~!
