3 batting a thousand…..

Woke up to day # 3 spot on from the Explorer weather forecast. While there was some spots of sunshine off and on throughout the day, the vast majority of the day was rain – at times LOTS of it. Pretty much another tame day…. FB, phone calls with kids back in the states and some planning. The planning is, I booked us a week in St. Thomas next month. Even though we live in ‘Paradise’ – the urge to travel is strong and we are well over a year in our retirement — coming up on almost a year on this island. While we are only traveling about 37 miles…… it might as well be a universe away for us. We are 15 minutes flying time from our Sister islands and it’s high by-God time we went to see them. We will be spending 5 days (4 nights) on St. Thomas. Planning one of those days spent on St. John…… from there, we will start branching out to the BVI (British Virgin Islands) and moving out the Lesser Antilles chain…… I have the flight and the hotel booked – still need to get a vehicle while we’re there – but that can wait a bit. Woo-hoo….. it feels good to be planning those kind of excursions again~! So- less than a month away…….. That’s about it for tonight folks……. I’m sure you’re full up of listening about morning routines and NYPD Blues episodes….. although I will tell….. we just finished the one where Detective Simone (Jimmy Smits) bites the big one. He done a really good job in the episode and it was quite touching. We are now well into Season # 6 with Ricky Schroeder as his replacement….. some of these episodes I kinda remember… most- not so much. Having fun watching them while it pi$$es and pours outside………………

Good night Ya’ll —– Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
