Sunshine, pools and alcohol~~~

New day….. got up and went for my ‘trying to get rid of this disgusting belly’ walk…. added an extra 30 minutes to it….. this ain’t happening near fast enough.. but have to keep telling myself – I didn’t put it on overnight…. probably ain’t gonna come off overnight (without surgery)…. so I’ll continue to up my cardio game a little bit [hopefully] – but it sucks……

Went into to town to find a new post office to send some stuff to all of our Grand Kids….. didn’t find what we were looking for, but jacked around and finally got the items in the mail……yay~! Came back (with minimal getting lost). Stopped at the the local mall (which has wonderfully conditioned air) and picked up a couple of shirts I was needing….. stopped in at a new restaurant for a bite since we skipped breakfast… nice little place but horribly slow service…. even with Island Time factored in…… My bride had the salad bar….. I opted for a cheeseburger with bacon and mushrooms (after all – I did an extra half hour on my walk~!) but am regretting it now…. it was either mixed with goat or some equally ‘different’ kind of meat — or the beef was not exactly fresh…….. AHHhhh, that to shall pass  😉  Ya don’t know until you try it though…….

Stopped on the way home at a local dive shop that I found the other day just a few minutes away from the house. Chatted with them a bit to see if I felt comfortable diving with them…. I did, but better yet, got to talking about an introductory course I think my Queen might be comfortable with (using full face mask)   Much like a ‘Resort Certification’ I think she may be able to do this as long as she doesn’t go for the full certification… which would be fine by me….. it would be nice to do a dive with her…. regardless how it happens. She is mulling it over and we’ll see how it goes…. in the meantime… I have signed up for a 1 tank dive this coming weekend. Would have liked to do it a little sooner….. but maybe I can sneak one in before this one somewhere else……. as long as the money holds out…..

Came home to a steamy humid afternoon on the patio. Shucked our clothes and bailed into the pool. Before long, drinks were made and we were lounging in the pool, with drinks, smokes and watching a fabulous sunset….. yea, yea, I know…. those of you dealing with winter weather now are thinking ‘a$$holes‘… and that’s okay — we’re good with that  😉  Got some good music going and sent a couple of texts to some folks that came to mind with certain songs and got to thinking how nice it will be when we finally get to St. Croix and can finally start having folks visit us…… island life is wonderful…… but so are family and friends…… and we can’t wait to start combining the two~~~  🙂

disfrutar de la vida es increíble ~~

Told ya I was gonna be eaten by a shark~!!

Trying out our fresh off the tree plantain Banana’s~!

More ripening — Yum~!! (Neva – yes! I think they taste MUCH better than the ones in the store~!!)

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
