More sharks [and stuff]

Up this morning a lot earlier than intended but ‘Ma Nature‘ wasn’t going to wait any longer…… that done I settled in for the usual bump charges on batteries as I read the news with my glass of lemon water (yes Neil, I’m still doing that)  Much to my dismay, my Queen came stumbling out shortly behind me. I say dismayed because I really hoped she would sleep in a little bit….. but she didn’t, so I had company while I got my day started. Cameras and batteries all loaded into the truck, I made Angie her sammich and then made me some eggs. I really didn’t feel like eating, but did anyway. I am almost always glad when I do. First dive was at one of our “sharkier” dive sites…. and it paid off.  We had 5 sharks circling us….. nice~! I got one shot of a shark just before he opened his mouth to inhale a Lion fish. I was actually a milli-second too fast on the trigger. Really hard to gauge….. the shark was coming from behind me, so I had to wait until I saw him in the camera frame, to try and judge when to pull the trigger. Missed it by > < that much~! I still think it’s a pretty awesome shot. Until you see it, you cannot believe how fast the sharks are moving when they hit those fish. Wow~! Second dive site had sharks but not as friendly. It also had a couple of eels…. one small one and one big green one, so heads up Vera…..  😉    I couldn’t get very close to either one of them, so it’s not really close ups, but some creative cropping helped.

Got back nice and early…. gear cleaned and hung up for the weekend. I got my shower and the pictures edited and posted super early which is always a good thing…. I then started making phone calls trying to catch people still at work back in the states. Checking in on a much needed part for my camera…… been 3+ weeks and counting and still nothing. Been trying to get dental insurance for me….. Long stupid story why I can’t sign up for it on line. Way too much to go into here, but finally got to talk to a human and believe it or not, they are going to have to snail mail me a paper application…… and then I have to fill it out and snail mail it back……. the stupidity of the whole scenario is mind boggling~! Of course, none of this would be an issue if we lived in the states……… shaking my head~~~~~

Good Night Y’all : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
