Visiting family

The last time I wrote you, I was secretly planning how to get out of the house to run to the airport to pick up some of Angie’s family that was coming in. I had been in ca-hoots with them for several months to surprise Angie. It took some doing and some help from our island ‘kids‘….. but am reasonably sure we pulled it off. I think it’s safe to say she was mostly floored when she realized who it was walking in the door that night (they got in on the late AA flight)…. but we did it, they’re here safely and we have been having a ball so far (which is why I have been mysteriously absent….. my apologies)  So far we have been doing pretty typical stuff when folks visit our little island…… lounging on the beach…. a little bit of alcohol consumption…… have dinner at Blues…… a little bit of alcohol consumption……. went SCUBA diving this morning~!!! a little bit of alcohol consumption…….. traveled ALL-the-WAY to the East end of the island to see the Eastern most point of the United States (Point Udall) ….. stopped en-route for a late lunch at Cheeseburger in America’s Paradise…….. a little bit of alcohol consumption…. Jason flew his drone around and took some pictures from out there. Can’t wait to see those……..then a leisurely route down the South Western shore of the island on the way back…..  now back at the house, pictures from today’s dives edited and up loaded…..a little bit of alcohol consumption…… and yes, I am starting to pay the price for it, so I may have to back off a skosh….. so far a couple of really fun days. We wrapped the day up a little early so I could get to the pictures…… so I have a little time to write as well. We have a couple of more fun days in the planning stages. I think tomorrow is going to be a [mostly] all day at the beach day at Hotel on the Cay….. which means LOTS of sun and fun, probably alcohol consumption…. some real good food, swimming, snorkeling and lots of fun in general. We have some ATV-ing planned as well as zip lining [for some of us]. I think we have an evening planned that involves the Moko Jumbies…… that’s always a good time…….  For now, gonna rest up for what is sure to be a long fun day tomorrow……… Gotta love having family in~!!

Good Night Y’all – – – – – – – – – – – Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
