Armageddon~!

In a fairly sudden turn of events – I wound up going diving today….. awe dammit…..   😉   A couple of friends of ours were making a last minute dive on a last minute boat off the West end today. I found out and put myself on the boat – as these two friends are heading back to the land of plenty soon and it will probably be the last time I get to dive with them for a while. They are heading back to the Cincinnati area where our Daughter Rachael lives. They will be there a short bit before heading a little farther North for a job opportunity. Paul and Deanna – I wish them the best of luck. First dive was my most very favorite dive site here on the island….. Armageddon~! It normally holds several very cooperative sharks…. but not today…… [sad day] – I saw one shark and he wanted nothing to do with me, my camera, or anyone else on the dive……. I still love that site though….. so much growth and life on it and things to look at – it just fascinates the hel heck out of me……. sharks or no sharks. The big school of Barracuda’s was there and they let me take a couple of shots! Love that dive site~! It is a lot shorter dive because it is so deep… but I still love it~! We motored South to our next site… shallow and as it turns out, visibility went straight to sh crap……… My mask was continually fogging up, couldn’t see diddly, I was getting cold….. just not what I would call an enjoyable dive…… but I was diving and that makes it some good~!

Back at the house….. gear rinsed, nibbled on a bite to eat and having drinks with my Queen. Tomorrow is a down day… even though I need to some more odds and ends running……. one of my strobes is acting up – so I’m going to take it to the dive shop where I bought it and express my dis-pleasure with the owner…… Now that I am officially a paid photographer…. I can’t afford to have my stuff cutting out on me….. Did I mention I got my first paycheck yesterday ??? AND a nice $30 tip today from an appreciative family I shot some pictures for ???  AND – I’m diving my brains out ???   I like it~! but am looking forward to that down day tomorrow……. you all have lots of pictures waiting for you~!

Good Night Ya’ll + + + + + + + + + + + + Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
