Rolling into the weekend…….

Happily amazed…. my first 4+ hours of sleep last night was almost like that Nyquil sleep the first time you take it….. deep, solid and wonderfully refreshing. The next 3+ hours wasn’t bad….. so I’m very happy with that~! Up to a classic Caribbean morning. Huge blue skies, a couple of big ole white puffy clouds, that wonderful trade wind and about 78°……. really does my soul good on mornings like that…… especially knowing what they are [about to] get back where I came from….. From what I can tell….. Ya’ll [collectively] about to catch it, regardless where you’re at. Maybe not so much snow – but as Dear Old Dad used to say – it’s fixin’ to get “Colder than a well diggers as …butt”. I wish the best for you all – but I am happy as one person can be, to be here where I am now…….  🙂

Another day of doing not much of anything….. after a wonderful Polly’s breakfast, we were taking it easy and enjoying the weather and some TV. I did get out and work on my truck, jiggling the seat belt thingy loose so it would work for a while. That motivated me to clean a couple of the windows and add another strip of Gorilla tape to the top and windshield. Back in the house, I was doing a little computer work in between computer and TV until WAPA ( our version of Vectren) did it’s thing, for the second day in a row – and managed to black out the entire friggin island….. I used that opportunity [only because I was bored out of my mind] to lug in that massive step ladder of ours and set it up in the living room to clean the ceiling fan. It’s always running during the daytime and I never really noticed how much it need cleaned. That done – I checked the other fans…. they were good. Then I had to clean up the dust and dirt that I knocked down. That got my Queen up and swiffering, so we did some light dusting and sweeping and a quick vacuum before the electricity finally came back on (50 minutes later).

I finished up my computer stuff – and started in on my evening stuff while Angie made us some Salisbury steaks….. I absolutely love them dudes~! Probably grossly unhealthy, but I don’t care. I had to eat my smashed taters and green stuff too…….. Gotta keep my strength up – I have to be in at the pier tomorrow morning to be a Safety Diver for the local swim team that is having a competition starting off of the pier. Whole thing shouldn’t take more than a half hour max [for what I’m needed for] – and then I am free to use up the rest of my air diving the pier…. I’ll take it~!! Because of the complexity of this event – I will not have my ‘big’ camera with me…… but I do intend to have my little Go-Pro strapped to me…… it’ll be fun to use it again….

Good Night Ya’ll ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
