Oh happy day~!

Up early this morning excited for the day we had ahead of us…….. after a tasty breakfast, my Queen headed out for the grocery store (like yesterday wasn’t enough)…. in the mean time – I pulled duty here at the house. I finished cleaning my bathroom, lubed door rollers, cleaned and polished the glass, except it didn’t last hardly an hour before it was coated in sea salt again with these baffling winds we have been having. I swept, changed the A/C filter and just cleaned in general until Angie pinged me and said she was home…. [my queue to go out and haul stuff in from the truck]…… I really didn’t think we needed that much, but I hauled in 3 massive bags of stuff……. we should be good to go for the next month  😉

Finally collapsed on the couch for an episode or so of Longmire, before it was time to get up and head for the airport~! We had a Daughter and 2 Grandsons coming in~!!!!! There about 10 minutes early, we had a cigarette and stood and watched as people started filing off of the plane…….. finally….. here they come. It was hard to contain my strength as I squeezed and hugged these people….. oh my goodness what a great feeling. It’s only been 3 1/2 months since we’ve seen them – but it felt more like 3 1/2 years…….. what a fantastic feeling. After waiting almost an hour for our illustrious ground crew to get the luggage unloaded from the plane – we jumped into DD and headed back to the condo. Having had her fill for the day – Steph just wanted to go back to the condo and relax and get the boys a bite to eat…… I concur~! The boys however, had a different idea…….. As soon as they saw the water and the beach…… they wanted out…… and so we went…… me and the guys headed out to the beach….. with the promise to stay out of the water…..  LOL….. right~~~~ After thoroughly soaking their ‘street’ clothes, we got them switched to swimming trunks and an hour of chasing and diving into waves ensued. Only one…..’Ah crap’ moment….. when my ‘Mess’ got bushwhacked by a rouge wave and was not faring well. I dropped my drink and my phone and went in after him followed closely by Stephanie. Safely retrieving him, he was quickly back chasing [and running from] waves. A new drink, which was splashed a couple of times with big waves…. turned into a make shift Margarita……. my phone took a bath, but due to the fact it is water resistant and inside an Otterbox – I don’t think it is any worse for the wear…… I hope~~ 😉

Back in, cleaned up and starving — I fed everybody Jumbo Jumbo’s hotdogs and cheeseburgers (appropriate for a rousing afternoon on the beach)….. now almost everybody  has a full belly (with room for snacks) and I already see signs of winding down for these little dudes after a long day……. tomorrow is a beach day with a picnic planned…. should be a fun, fun, fun day……. expect pictures~!

Good Night Ya’ll – – – – – – – – – – — – – – – – Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
