The Blahs….. or maybe the “Blues”~~

Dammit Emmit…….. That little bit of running yesterday ended up with a quick meeting at Blues. After the quick meeting….. we decided to sit and chat and visit for a while. Folks just kept filtering in and we kept sitting and chatting…. and visiting…..and drinking……. Oooh boy…… finally got to be well into the afternoon and we still had to pick up laundry. So we loaded into DD – and headed across town to pick up our laundry….. then on the way back, stopped at a new local pizza place to try out their pizza. After 35 long minutes – I finally had my pie and a hot meatball hero sammich for my bride. Sadly….. the pizza was not near what I was hoping for….. course… being hot and tired with a belly full of vodka may not have helped….. I managed 3 pieces before crashing soundly on the couch…… so— no blog or FB…… OOps  😉

Today was a case of the Blahs [or remnants of Blues] and we didn’t do much until 5:00 when we had to load up and take off for a meeting of the local dive club. Turn out wasn’t as big as usual – but an excellent presentation on the nesting habits of Green Sea Turtles (the kind we had on our beach last year) and it was interesting to listen to and compare what they said about what we have learned about them. I spoke with the young lady who gave the presentation afterwards and she was excited to find out about the activity on our beach. She said she would contact me this week about becoming part of their team. The best part of that – is I will be included on their permit – so I will now be “Legally” allowed to handle the turtles if necessary. They are endangered species and you are not supposed to interfere with them in anyway unless you are ‘permitted’ to do so. That will be a good thing. Now back here and feeling slightly better – I’m gonna put up some more pictures from my dives the other day and maybe one or two from tonight’s meeting. Helping a friend up on his roof the next 2-3 days…. maybe that’ll help keep me away from Blues~~~  😉

Good Night Ya’ll * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
