Super slow day………

Other than make breakfast for my bride and do the dishes…. I didn’t do a damn thing today except sit and watch TV. We finally finished up Burn Notice and now am watching Rescue Me. Kinda racy – but seems to be a fairly realistic show about a bunch of New York Fire Fighters….. we are both on the fence about it right now – but I am starting to warm up to it. Other than that – nothin’ and between that and an internet that is barely letting me get this done….. I’m done for tonight.

I have a dive club meeting tomorrow, maybe I can snag a couple of pictures for you and maybe the internet will be working well enough to let me get them put up.

Good Night Ya’ll – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Thankx for stopping in`!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)

  1. Sorry your Dr apt was not a complete good of bill of health,,,hate to think of you adding cholesterol medicine,
blood pressure been around for a long time, but only in last few years it seems have the made meds to lower cholesterol,,,another billions for drug companies, etc,,,and seems not always easy to take,,,so good luck, and you have the best free advise anywhere, with both knowing what they are doing in your da-n neighbors,,, sure either Cammy or Mike could advise you if problems, but don’t get side effects and not say anything,,,as I said, think if I had not gone off my strong antibodic,,,it would have killed me,,literally, so. Good luck, with all your changes,,,especially with smoking,,,know if I could have still smoked when so sick with pneumonia,,,,I never would have quit, hope Angie’s cough is bette

  2. Hi Vera –
I am tickled to pieces with my Doctors appointment~! I had also been on Cholesterol medicine for eons and finally let it lapse too. I don’t mind getting back on it. While I probably will never eat right, or exercise like I should, I know I can at least keep those two things in check which will be a huge move forward for my health. I’d like to think I’ll be able to quit smoking someday, for multiple reasons… including health and being able to dive longer on a single tank of air, but just being able to breathe normally would be nice….. but if Angie don’t quit – not sure how long I’ll be able to make it, but I guess quitting for 5-6 months would at least help a little bit. My time in the hospital was a real wake call for me and whether I want to admit it or not — I’m not the big, bad, un-killable hot shot I used to be – or thought I was…. so yeah, wake up call for the old fat boy — and I will take better care of myself.
We are both warming up to Rescue Me. It is racy enough I didn’t think it would be something you would like – but it is entertaining to watch the number of ridiculous situations they manage to get those guys in. We tried watching “White Collar” from your list – but we would have to pay for it – and that pi$$es me off too and refuse to pay for it. If we come across something I think you’d like – I’ll be sure to let you know.
Don’t guess I realized Louie was dealing with an addiction…..6 years, I am impressed and happy for her. I wish her the best. You probably know my Dad dealt with alcoholism most of his life and I am well versed with that particular affliction. I would not wish that on anyone. Good Luck to her [and congratulations~!] Angie showed me a text [or message] you sent to her worrying about who can see the comments on my blog. Until I ‘approve’ them, no one can see them except me, so out of shear respect for you…. I did not “approve” your last comment, so it is just between you and me.
Angie’s cough is much, much better. I stay on her about taking her meds so we can finally get her over that mess.Yes I am riled about not being able to dive…. but I had a good enough ‘scare’ – that I am going to listen ( a little) bit tooo the Doc and wait for a while before I start diving again~~ 😉
Take care of yourself and get healed up so we can stop by and see you again in September~~
    B
