Feelin’ Bad~~

Well sir….there is NO doubt about it – I definitely managed to pick up the crud that my Bride has been struggling with for the past couple of three weeks. Fortunately, I tend to get over that crap pretty quick, by bombarding my system with OTC meds. Maybe a little bit dangerous, but I figure if it ain’t killed me by now – odds are in my favor it won’t. Plus – I have been making Angie go to the doctor to get healed up. Hard headed pain in the butt that she is, thinks she don’t need to go and then winds up getting a lot sicker than she needs to be and then decides to listen to me about going to the clinic (after she finally gets me sick). I told her after I get her healed up this round – the next time she coughs – just once – I’m dragging her narrow a$$ into the clinic~! So hopefully we should both be healed up by the end of the week. Angie slept in again real late this morning and I let her because I know she hasn’t been sleeping well during the night. I came out this morning, checked on line briefly to make sure all was well in my little part of the world back in the states…. then went and sat on the couch and felt bad. When I get down like that – that is my preferred method to get through it…. I don’t want waited on or coddled….. just leave me alone and let me feel bad. Like I said – I’m usually over it in a couple of days when left to myself. Of course, once my bride was up and functioning – I had to haul her into town for the chest X-rays that Doc wanted. Got that out of the way and came back to the condo to sit on the couch and watch 24….and feel bad. We get up for the occasional cigarette and shot of fresh sea air and then head back in for more 24…… and feel bad.

I started out this morning feeling like my head was in a vice, I had a sore throat and like a small Buffalo was sitting on my chest. My teeth hurt from the pressure in my sinuses, eyes were watering and nose running like a faucet. AAHHhh – good times. A gross amount of OTC meds have knocked most of that out now….. nose is still running (and it’s sore now from wiping it too much) – but all other symptom’s are either gone or greatly improved. Plan is to spend all day tomorrow not doing much of anything either (except feel bad) while we wait to hear from the Doc. So – I hope you’re feeling a damn site better than either one of us. Illness like this sucks when you have snow, ice and cold….. but when you have that illness in Paradise – it really sucks~! Kinda like having a Summer cold back in the states. I’ll update on Brides condition after we hear back from the Doc.

Good night Ya’ll / / / / / / / Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
