and then there was rain……………

I thought I woke up extra early this morning because our bedroom was still real dark when I rolled out of my comfy spot – having to pee so bad I could dang near taste it, but as it turns out, I was up at my regular time….. it’s just that it was very cloudy and raining like the world was coming to an end outside…… holy cow~! Super heavy cloud cover and lots and lots and lots of rain……. there were some brief intervals where the rain quit for a couple of minutes… but they were few and far between. It amazes me what the Sea does during those squalls….. it goes from that gorgeous blue, to a deep gray and occasionally almost black looking. Beautiful in it’s own right. I snapped a couple of pictures today so I could share what the remnants of a tropical storm look like here……. just thankful we are not having to deal with the mess South Carolina and that area are. Hoping the best for those folks.

My Queen and I spent the day watching the idiot box…… truly amazed we never [knocking on wood here] lost electricity or cable. The internet was sketchy most of the day – so we were relegated to watching the cable – which is mostly 1980’s reruns as opposed to streaming movies. Around 17:00 we got enough bandwidth that we finally got Amazon Prime to pull up. Watched a fun movie called Play the Game with Andy Griffith. Would definitely recommend watching it – especially if you’re a ‘Sheriff Taylor’ fan.

That’s really about it — not going to try and hit 500 words on sitting around watching it rain all day. Calling for pretty much the same thing for tomorrow — so we’ll just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings.

Good night Ya’ll …… Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
