Sunday fun day…………..

My Grandson Carter wanted to go to a beach that had that had some waves today – so after a hearty breakfast , we loaded up into the temporary ‘bus’ and headed for Cane Bay. Arguably one of the most popular beaches on the island. Getting there nice and early we had our choice of shady spots to set up camp and wasn’t long before we were all in the water. There was swimmin’, snorkeling, boogie boarding and just fun in general. After an hour or so we stopped for some shade time and a smoothies break from one of the local food trucks camped just across the road from us. The adults all had a Mimosa~!  😉  Cooled off and refreshed we all bailed back in for some more of that fabulous water. Another hour went by and everybody was about done with salt water. We loaded up and came back to the condo, got a bite to eat and headed for the pool. Really breezy and definitely cooler than the ocean – we wound up spending about 2 and a half hours there. Thoroughly worn out from sun, wind and water….. we came back – showered and settled in for the evening. I filled the grill with hotdogs, burgers and wings and had fresh hot French fries going in the kitchen. Bellies full – showers taken, the boys (Grandsons) are all in bed snoozing……. my happy a$$ ain’t very far behind them cause this old man is pooped~! Haven’t did much discussion on tomorrow yet – but am sure it will be a fun full day.

Good night Ya’ll —– Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
