Sunshine, blue skies and wind…………….

Today turned out to be a hang out and do a whole lotta nothing kinda day. I think we both needed to recover a little bit from the big day yesterday. Between the activities and the heat, I think it whooped up on both of us a little bit, so we just hung out today and took it easy today. Besides, being a Saturday, beaches and highways are packed with tourists and locals out for the weekend, so ‘weekends’ are kinda chill for us anyway…… Did light out for a little bit to find a bite to eat. First place we been wanted to try and finally caught it open (and is throwing distance from our hose) just sold booze, which normally is our gig – but we already had several drinks and wanted something solid. So we headed a little farther down the road to a place we’ve seen and finally went in to check it out. We got there just in time for them to quit serving the light menu and start setting up for the dinner menu, which meant an hour wait — so my Queen decided we should just go on back to the house and I could cook for her, to which I obliged. I made her a Ribeye steak with sautéed onions and I had a burger and a hotdog. All was consumed fairly quickly and enjoyed by all…… I went in and did the handful of dishes and came out just in time to peel my clothes off and bail into the pool to watch the sunset – not a bad end to a lazy day~~ Now I’m gonna share this, some more diving pictures and maybe a little Island insight and go take a nice cool shower………

Animals kind run the roost on an island, and nobody really seems to give a big damn about it ….. but dogs roam and bark, just whenever they get the itch I guess, and chickens and roosters. Chickens aren’t so bad because they’re mainly quiet, but these friggin roosters~!! I think they must get extra feed or something for crowing….. day and night~! You’d think you’d get used to it…… but I’m still waiting for that. I guess I could go around and start dressing them up like goats  😉

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
